Ghurish Heartlands

The Ghurish Heartlands is one of the major regions of the Realm of Ghur.^[1a] Here, the terrain constantly tears at itself, from rivers chewing away at their banks while hills try to smother the waterways with landslides to the tectonic movements of the continents themselves. Within the past few centuries, the continent of Donse was crushed between Andtor and Thondia, and now Bjarl is stalking Andtor from the south.^[1b][2a] Building in this unstable landscape has always been a challenge, with only the largest, most successful continents having areas of true stability, but cities like Excelsis prove that it is not impossible for Free Cities to flourish here.^[1b]
