The Greenhold of Dappelloren is the long-fallen capital of the Springleaf Sylvaneth, who would go on to become the embittered Winterleaf Glade.[1a]

Inhabitants

In the Age of Myth, Dappelloren was known as the largest and most beautiful of the sylvaneth Greenholds and Springleaf, the most populous of all the sylvaneth glades. In addition to the many Springleaf sylvaneth and spites who made the enclave home, entire clans from other glades would frequently be in the greenhold to see wonders such as the Hanging Gardens of Shimmervale or on diplomatic missions to meet with the glade's regent, the Bough-mother.[2b][2c]

Locations

Fall of Dappelloren

Dappelloren was tragically undone by the Festerbark Pox. Nurgle had taken a great interest in the Springleaf, and as the plague ravaged the enclave, invading Daemons of Nurgle attacked. Among the losses in the destruction of the greenhold was the Bough-mother herself, who legend says was carried away to suffer for eternity in the Garden of Nurgle.[1a][2c]

Legacy

The story of the tragic last days of the enclave is told in a sylvaneth legend called the Fall of Dappelloren, one of the many sad tales of the War of Life.[2a]
