Gharrentia lies near Ymnog's Trample in central Gallet.

Gharrentia is a region of Gallet.[1a]

Wildlife

The region has all manner of acidic grubs, ravenous arachnids, and poisonous insects.[1a]

Inhabitants

The most common inhabitants are grots, with large numbers of Spiderfang stalktribes worshipping the various Arachnarok Spiders of the region. There is also a 'guild' of Brewgits who continuously attempt to distil all the various toxic wildlife into potent magical and inebriating potions.[1a]

A gargant named Greedy Hekk stumbled into the region and, through a series of events that are much disputed and often exaggerated, came to reign over many of the local grot tribes as the Spider King. His appetite is insatiable, and the tribes are becoming ever more aggressive in an attempt to bring home enough loot to satisfy their monarch's appetite and not become dinner themselves.[1a]

Crawling Pits of Gharrentia

The most infamous region of Gharrentia is the Crawling Pits, a series of underground caverns stretching across a vast distance and filled to the brim with a bewildering variety of spiders. Most of the local Spiderfang tribes live in the Crawling Pits, worshipping the local Arachnarok Spiders and regularly swarming out in vast hunting parties to plague the surrounding area.[1a]

The Orruk warlord Gordrakk managed to trap the Godbeast Fangathrak within colossal spiderwebs in the northern part of the Crawling Pits and pried its jaws open, exposing the Mawgate arcway within, in order to assault the Eightpoints. Gordrakk’s Ironjawz have heavily fortified the region around Fangathrak, much to the annoyance of the grots and their so-called Spider King.[1a]
