Coldfire is a substance created by mages of the House of Rising Embers, the foremost mage academy of Lumnos.[1a][2a]
Properties
Coldfire is a burning, alchemical concoction that radiates cold instead of heat. It is a volatile substance that bursts into blue fires that emit a deathly chill. Typically the substance is contained within glass globes.[1a][2a]
Usage
One of the most common ways to weaponize Coldfire is to toss a glass globe containing the substance, known as a Coldfire Orb, at a target. The ensuing inferno of blue fires will then radiate cold. These magical, freezing flames are as dangerous as normal fire.[1a]
