Celestrium is a city and stronghold built by the Hammers of Sigmar located in the Realm of Hysh. During the early stages of the Age of Sigmar it served as a major fortress of the Hammers in the Realmgate Wars.[2a][3a]

History

Age of Sigmar

The fortress of Celestrium was founded early in the Realmgate Wars, the Realmgate within the city is connected to The Growling Gates in the Beastfens of Ghur.[2a][3a]

When Lord-Celestant Pergus Brightshield's Warrior Chamber set out to secure the Growling Gates, believing they were still held by the forces of Chaos, they were ambushed on all fronts by Gordrakk's impressive horde comprised of Orruks from dozens of Warclans. The Orruks hoped to use the Realmgates to gain passage to Celestrium, where they hoped to continue their rampage. Though Pergus's entire chamber fell in battle, their souls shooting back to the Realm of Azyr in bolts of lighting, they managed to re-align the Growling Gates to let reinforcements from Celestrium through, who drove off Gordrakk's horde.[2a][3a]

Lord-Relictor Daeroth would set out from the city to investigate the ruins of Heldost, as the Fyreslayer mercenaries hired to retake it and the Oculus Gate in the city had not returned. Deatoth and the twelve Stormcast Eternals he brought with him were ambushed and slain by Mordants of Shivergore's court. Their souls blasting back to Azyr.[3a]
