The Blessed Sons are a realm-spanning brotherhood considered as the greatest of the Nurgle Rotbringers in martial prowess and sheer numbers. They are dedicated to spreading Grandfather Nurgle's love through conquest and few have survived the might of the Blessed Sons and even these survivors are left haunted by the atrocities committed by these fanatical Rotbringers.[1a]

Organisation

The Blessed Sons are in fact a conglomerate of Contagiums congealed into a single entity through battle and any conquered Rotbringers must learn to embrace their new role or risk the loss of Nurgle's blessings. The Blessed Sons control many lands beyond the Jade Kingdoms of Ghyran from the frozen lands of Cotha in northern Great Parch of Aqshy to the depths of Athanasia in Shyish where they form the nobility of empires marked by by pestilent fortresses as the mundane populace toil in sickly farms and plague-engines while giving praise to Nurgle. These thralls also forge pus-dripping weapons and concoct hellish diseases using their own bodies as incubators. The Sons also enjoy relations with other powers such as the Doom Lords of Ahramentia, Skaven of Clans Pestilens and even some Ogor Mawtribes with more obscene tastes. They offer vile tribute to the Blessed Sons in return for choice poxes or forces of Blightkings.[1a]

Despite being extremely outgoing the leadership of the Blessed Sons is strangely formless. It is whispered within the Contagium that within the depths of Ghyran there is a fortress with corrupted roots that sink to the very heart of the realm and within this are a triumvirate that rule the Blessed Sons meditating upon the glory of Nurgle and whose individual authority waxes and wanes depending on the diseases affecting the realms. However the Blessed Sons are largely allowed to as they wish as long as they serve the will of Nurgle.[1a]

Warfare

Compared to the more methodical and steady approach taken by most Contagiums the Blessed Sons have a notable bloodthirsty streak. Spurred on by Champions seeking to earn Nurgle's favour through conquest they bludgeon and hack through enemies and the foes that face this unrelenting horrors risk their sanity and falling to Nurgle's embrace in desperation. They seek to put all of the Mortal Realms under siege and the armies of the Blessed Sons are constantly attacking Sigmarite Strongpoints even joining with the greatest champions of Nurgle such as the Glottkin and the Maggoth Lords. Such constant sieges themselves are a psychological weapon as they know all enemies would eventually tire leaving them vulnerable to the grandest of the Contagiums.[1a]
