Black Abyss

The Black Abyss is a vast chasm in the Fellbarrens of Aqshy that cleaves completely through the realm's crust. It is said that Khorne created the Black Abyss with a single blow from his sword in order to protect the Brimfire Gate, the Arcway between Aqshy and the Allpoints. A single bridge spans the abyss, forcing anyone approaching the realmgate to pass through the Eight-castles-that-were-one before reaching it.^[1a]
