The Battle of Druchxar was the decisive battle of the Daughters of Khaine's defensive campaign against the Hedonite hordes of Luxcious the Keeper. The Keeper of Secrets' invasion was the most dangerous of the Cathtrar Dhule up to that point, and Morathi had to summon an unprecedented force of Khainites to repel the threat to her capital of Hagg Nar.[2a]
Background
Luxcious' legions had rampaged across the lands of the Realm of Ulgu for some time, destroying the Khainite temples of Neff-Taal, Prax Nar, and Traith-Kine and drawing ever closer to Hagg Nar. Morathi, recognizing the threat to her seat of power, called for a Caillich Coven to be mustered - the first time a threat was considered so dangerous that every Khainite sect was required to send a force of warriors to the High Oracle.[1a][1b]
Destruction of Druchxar
The last major action of Luxcious' march across Ulgu before meeting with the Caillich Coven was the sack of Druchxar, a Khainite temple only a short distance from the coast of Greater Ulguroth opposite Hagg Nar itself. Even the vaunted speed of the Daughters of Khaine could not get the Coven to Druchxar in time to prevent the temple from being destroyed. However, the Coven did arrive to confront Luxcious over the ruins.[1a][1b][2b]
Battle
Morathi took the field at Druchxar at the head of the greatest force of Scáthborn yet seen. The combined force of Melusai and Khinerai from every Khainite sect engaged the Hedonite host for several days until the High Oracle and the Keeper of Secrets met in battle. This duel of champions ended when Morathi drove her spear Heartrender through Luxcious' chest, banishing the Keeper of Secrets to the Realm of Chaos. Without their warlord, the remnants of the Hedonite horde were swiftly crushed.[2a]
