Geography
The Gulf is a deep, cold valley between two crumbling mountain ranges. The entire Gulf is a sorrowful, grim place cursed with entropy, where listless dead toil endlessly to repair their settlements; buildings constructed here collapse as quickly as they are built.[1a]
Inhabitants
Mannfred von Carstein, Mortarch of Night, was once banished to the gulf by Nagash for an unspecified transgression. He sulked there until the Skullfiend Tribe of Khorne Bloodbound invaded to claim the skulls of the gulf's deathrattle skeletons, who were endlessly attempting to repair the gulf's crumbling structures.[1a]
Locations
- The Baneshard Realmgate stood inert at the mouth of the valley for ages until the Skullfiend Tribe managed to activate it.[1a]
- The valley is dotted with innumerable crumbling castles and necropolises.[1a]
