Agnostai was a rebellious city in the Realm of Chamon that was brought to heel by Lord-Arcanum Balthas Arum without any blood being shed.[1a][2a]

History

Age of Sigmar

When the city of Agnostai rose in rebellion Lord-Arcanum Balthas Arum of the Grave Brethren was among those sent to pacify the city. Rather than besiege the city and contend with its mercenary army, Balthas chose to use his mastery of the transmutative magic of Chamon to transform the city's stores of gold to granite. The mercenaries abandoned the city en masse and Agnostai swiftly surrendered without a single sword drawn or bow raised.[1a][2a]

Locations

  • Silver Sepulchre: A famous sepulchre found within Agnostai. Balthas Arum conducted his famously swift pacification of the city simply so he could delve into the Silver Sepulchre in search of alchemical texts he considered necessary to his research. To his frustration, it would be a rival Lord-Arcanum, Knossus Heavensen, who would translate the texts and be lauded by the God-King himself for the achievement.[1b]
